Totally Out Of Season

Spring is in the air, the weather is warming up a little now and what am I inspired to make? Snowflakes!

I've wanted to make this blanket for quite sometime now, since I first saw it on Ravelry. This weekend I picked up a couple of balls of wool to have a test run for a couple of patches.  Officially in love!

The completed blanket consists of 59 hexagons... and I have made:

Three, yep, some way to go!  That's precisely why I'm starting now, it means I've got a chance of getting it done in time for Christmas!

The pattern is really simple once you've got your head round the crochet terminology (I always find crochet patterns hard work) and it can be found for free here from Art of Tangle

I've actually done 4 and a half now... so I reckon thats not bad going, I'm hoping that two a week should get it finished in time. I'll keep you posted!

Just don't ask about the other crochet blanket. Lol.

The colours you've chosen really go well together. It's a lovely pattern too. I hope you can finish it in time.

I love this pattern. Well done starting this early for next Winter. That will be a lovely blanket to look forward to when nights get colder.

It's so lovely, that's such a pretty white, sometimes white can be not very nice in wool but that one is all warm and snuggly looking... if that makes sense for a snowflake :P

Thank you so much for your lovely words on my post today :)

This Snowflake blanket will look utterly fantastic when it's finished - I wouldn't even know where to begin, I'm finding knitting hard enough. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to attempt it.

So sorry to bother you with the question regarding the pattern... I clicked a little more on your blog and found it here. Well, thank you for the link and I truly love your color combination! It is a real beauty.
