Growing

Today I am 38 weeks + 1 day pregnant.  That's me at 38 weeks in the bottom right hand corner!  I've taken a few pictures of my growing belly on my iPhone as I've gone along and it's funny to look back at them now, I can't actually imagine not having a baby in front of me wherever I go.

When we first found out we were expecting, February 2012 seemed such a long time away, but now it's startlingly close, only two weeks until my due date! I have been full term for a week now so we could meet baby any time from today until the 21st of Feb (they let you go up to 12 days over here).

At the moment, I'm hoping that it's sooner rather than later!  I'm not feeling impatient just yet, just eager to get on and meet little one, to start our new life as a family and get on with my new job as a Mum.

I've been really fortunate so far, I've had very few nasty side effects and have really enjoyed being pregnant.  Sure, I've been incredibly tired, frustrated at not being able to do things and being told to sit down... but I've loved feeling and seeing our baby grow and dreaming and planning all of the exciting things to come.

So, I hope that I will be sharing some baby news with you soon!  We are all ready to go, the hospital bags are packed, we appear to have all the bits & pieces we need and the house is clean and organised.  I've even finished up loads of projects and ticked most things off my to do list... so come on baby, lets go!
